What does this mean for the drone industry?
This statement is a serious signal for the market. Most likely, in the near future:
- new laws will appear to regulate drone use;
- existing rules will be modernized and made more understandable;
- the process of certification and obtaining permits will become more transparent.
All of this will simplify drone operations, make them clearer and safer, which means the market will begin to grow faster.
Delivery Drones: Prospects and Doubts
A separate issue is the delivery of goods by drones. In my opinion, delivery within the city is still a questionable idea. It’s simpler and cheaper to send a courier on a scooter than to launch an expensive drone costing several million.
However, long-distance delivery is a truly promising direction. For example:
- delivering goods to areas with poor or non-existent roads;
- delivering medicines and food to remote villages;
- use in emergency situations.
In such cases, drones can be faster, cheaper, and more reliable than traditional transport.
Why this is important
The very fact that the president is raising the topic of unmanned aerial vehicles at the state level is a very good sign. It means that in the coming years, the drone industry in Kazakhstan will begin to develop actively, opening up new opportunities for business, technology, and society.
